Girls’ Day 2025
Girls’ Day is Pretty Powerful’s signature event — a celebration of girlhood and growth. On September 27, 2025, girls from across the Midlands and surrounding areas came together for a full day of connection, creativity, and confidence-building.
The day featured:
Interactive Workshops on skin care, hair care, cycle health and Pilates.
Girl Talk Circles led by mentors who shared real stories about navigating life, school, and self-discovery
Fun & Friendship through games, giveaways, and plenty of photo-worthy moments
Parent Workshop led by two of our board members.
Sponsored breakfast from Panera and lunch from Rebel Dogs.

Girls’ Day 2024
Our Biggest Teen Girl Event of the Year
This sold out, 50 girl event was cut in half due to Hurricane Helene. Thankfully, we were able to move forward (though we would’ve had no problems canceling if needed). The girls that were able to make it had a great time. The day was filled with motivational moments from Councilwoman Gretchen Barren and Dr. Kierra Carter, self-defense from Black Flag Training Group, holistic wellness by Valeea Sutton - an Integrative Health Nurse Practitioner, braiding and nail workshops by Snatched by Shak and Kitten Klaws and an all male life and relationship panel with men from all walks of life.
Teens were also able to shop til they dropped at our free thrift shop filled with fashionable and teen appropriate clothing, shoes, jewelry, and bags from local millennial women.
Special thanks to Councilwomen Gretchen Barren and Richland County District 7 for partnering with us on the event.
